We are working on scheduling our next Hermon GOP Meeting in February. More information to come!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! Psalm 33:12

Danielle Haggerty

Chair

Hermon GOP

From the Bangor Republican Committee

As many of you may already know, recently House District 24 Representative Joe Perry had to resign from his seat because he was elected as State Treasurer.

District 24 encompasses a portion of Bangor, Brewer and Orono and all of Veazie.

At a recent republican caucus held in Bangor at the Old County Courthouse on January 2nd,  Carolyn Fish a republican from Bangor was nominated as our candidate for this district.

Carolyn is a realtor and a current member of the Bangor City Council.  She is married to a retired Bangor Police Officer, she is a mother and a grandmother.  She is a conservative and is concerned about the direction of our city, state and country and future generations. She is an excellent candidate for this district and we are fortunate that she has accepted the nomination.

This special election will be held on February 25th, so we only have about 40 days until the election.  Absentee and early voting will be prior to this date.

This race is the only one currently taking place in the state of Maine.  We are hoping to get volunteers from throughout the state to help. The current makeup of the Maine House of Representatives is 75 Democrats and 73 Republicans, One independent and one vacancy and one unenrolled.  A win in this district will greatly improve the chances of preventing bad bills from being passed.

We appreciate any help you can give to Carolyn’s campaign.  If you can donate your time or make a contribution it would be greatly appreciated.  Individuals can contribute up to $475 to Carolyn’s campaign.  You do not have to live in this district to donate to the campaign.  Anyone who is a citizen of the United States can donate to her campaign, from anywhere in the United States.  Any amount will be appreciated.  She will be running as a traditionally funded candidate.  Checks can be made payable to: Carolyn for House.  They may be sent to :
