Attention Maine Residents
The Maine Democrat-controlled legislature passed a new budget without Republican input. This budget introduces new taxes on prescription drugs, ambulance rides, and cigarettes, as well as an income tax increase. It also cuts MaineCare funding and allocates over $40 million for illegal immigrants.
The Maine GOP, through its legislators, has filed for a People’s Veto referendum to challenge this budget. We need over 60,000 signatures from any legal voter—Republican, Democrat, or Independent. The Maine GOP is offering assistance to gather signatures locally by setting up tables at various events. We are seeking volunteers to help with these tables and petition efforts. There are just over 60 days remaining to collect signatures.
If you’re willing to volunteer to collect signatures, please contact:

You could have a Drive by Signature party. Let like-minded people know that you are at the town office, a park or another area with lots of parking space during a certain time & date. They can look at the bill & sign the petition. Saves time and gas.
